North Carolina State Employee Directory

• Select a state Agency/Department and view phone numbers for all employees in that agency.

Enter the first and/or last name of a state employee.

Search Telephone Directory by Agency / Department

Select an Agency / Department from the list to view employee phone numbers currently on record. Please note that many agencies have multiple departments or divisions. Therefore, you may have to submit requests for each department to view all employee phone numbers for an agency. To minimize your search effort, we are currently consolidating department and division data so that it appears at the agency level for most agencies. We are also adding the main phone number for each agency so you can contact the agency directly if necessary.

Disclaimer: Employee contact information is provided voluntarily by state agencies. As a result, some individuals may not be included, and some information may be out of date. We provide the most accurate information currently available.

Note: For community college or university employees, visit the directory on the school's Web site.

If you cannot find a state employee's information using the searches above, we recommend that you contact the employee's agency. For agency contacts:

• Visit the state agency's Web site and locate the Contact Us page. Click "NC Agencies" for a list of state agency Web sites

OR

• View the North Carolina State Capitol Area Telephone Directory (pdf) for agency phone numbers. Note that this publication is not the same as the online directory accessed above in the blue area. The North Carolina State Capitol Area Telephone Directory is updated once per year and requires Adobe Reader to view online. Also note that it provides contact numbers for all agencies and their departments/divisions as well as some administrative positions, but it does not include contact information for all employees. To add, remove, or change a telephone entry in the Online State Employee Directory, click Changes to access a form where you can modify telephone numbers only. Once the form is submitted, any changes will be applied during the next regular weekly update.

To add, remove, or change an email address, contact your agency’s Human Resources or Personnel office and they will provide updated files to us. Note that files are updated weekly, so any changes may not be immediately apparent.
